My Story

Welcome to my page fjell og fjord (meaning mountains and fjords)

My name is Kristoffer Nystedt and are 37 years of age.

In recent years, I have felt that life is passing by too fast and come to the understanding that life is too short to be regretful when I get old over things I didn’t do but wanted to do. So now it’s time to take a time out and do something new that I find challenging and exciting (more than spending my days in traffic in Oslo).
  
My big passion in life are hiking and mountaineering. So in April I will begin on my hiking project "Up as an amateur and down like a mountain man." It’s about finding and experience the best mountain scenery and hiking tracks in Norway. I will walk about 1250 Km divided in 60 excursions - from short walks to long hikes over several days. (At the same time I will make time for some good party in the mountains too - my second passion:) The project will last to October 2014.

My goal with the project is to try to win “Villmarkingen 2014” (outbacker of the year) and at the same time I hope the project can be inspirational and informative about hiking experiences in Norway (at least a fun reading). Under the project I will also be looking after the perfect site to set up base camp for fjell og fjord adventure.
