Great walks: Avdalen Gard, Utladalen - Norway Part 2

2 Great Walks in Utladalen – the valley into Jotunheimen.
Utladalen is considered to be unique in Norway and internationally and is located in the Jotunheimen mountain range. Utladalen is Norway's deepest valley and is surrounded by dozens of mountain peaks that are all more than 2,000 metres.

Day 2 Avdalen Gard
Avdalen is a small side valley of the main Utladalen valley. The farm is located above the magnificent Avdalsfossen waterfall, about 3 kilometres south of Vetti. The last part of the hike was steep and illustrates the challenge of daily life for the former residents. You have a fantastic view over the valley from the mountain farm.

Day 1 Vettisfossen
Walked from Hjelle up to Vettisfossen, a comfortable walk. The road passes through Vetti and crosses the Utla river on four spectacular bridges. The walking path ends at one of Norway's tallest waterfalls, Vettisfossen. The waterfall has a single drop of 275 metres (902 ft). This is the highest fall in North Europa which is not regulated through a hydroelectric power station.

Get started walks: Ullevålseter, Oslo - Norway

A walk to Ullevålseter it’s the best walk in the Oslo area on a Sunday morning after a night out. If you want to show off some sporty attitude to the world - this is the walk you will have the best chance to meet a colleague from your work. Always make you feel better when you strugling with a bad hangover:) Sognsvann - Ullevålseter is a popular walk all year around and it can almost be too much traffic on the way up to the cabin. Perfect distance and will cure a hangover - and make you ready for Monday morning.

Get started walks: Southern & Northern Kolsåstopp, Bærum - Norway

Similar walk as Skaugumsåsen and Vettakollen. Great views over Bærum, Oslo and inner Oslo fjord. Of the two peaks I think the North peak has a greater view than the South peak. The north peak also has a great steep traverse you can walk but it is steep! Of all the walks around Oslo I think the North top has Oslo’s best view and the best course if you walk the traverse up or down from the top. The south peak are a little more boring (both track and view). However, if you like to rock climb the south peak it’s a popular place for that activity.
